Police are investigating a suspicious scrub fire late last night on Auckland's North Shore.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at Stanley Point in Devonport at about 11.30pm.
The Fire Service said the fire which threatened several houses in the area, spread to about 40 metres wide.
They said it took firefighters about three hours to put it out.
