FEMA approves more than 7 million dollars for American Samoa Heta assistance

The US Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) has approved more than 7 million US dollars in federal assistance for victims of Tropical Cyclone Heta in American Samoa.

FEMA's John Treanor says since the opening of the disaster registration last month, there have been over 3 thousand applications for federal assistance for individuals and households, with most of those properties already inspected.

So far, about 7.3 million dollars of federal aid has been approved
