The Croatian international Eduardo da Silva has made a dynamic return to football after almost a year, scoring twice to help Arsenal demolish Cardiff City 4-nil in their English FA Cup fourth round replay at Emirates Stadium.
The striker was playing his first match since suffering a horrific ankle injury and was in the thick of the action heading Arsenal's first goal in the 20th minute and slotting a 60th minute penalty for the Gunner's third.
The victory sets up a fifth round clash with Burnley, who knocked Arsene Wenger's side out of the League Cup earlier this season.
