The agent, who has name suppression, also faces 11 charges of unlawful sexual connection between December 2011 and May 2016.

The Real Estate Agents Authority cancelled the agent's licence in September after a police vetting report revealed the charges.

The man, who renewed his licence in January 2016, said he had not been charged at the time.

He argued a previous charge of committing an indecent act was dealt with under the Police Diversion Scheme, so did not need to be disclosed.

In November, the disciplinary tribunal overturned the authority's decision and the man was able to continue selling houses.

The Authority said the agent's licence was currently under review.
