A report from Fiji says a number of human rights violations are believed to have been found in the Qarase government's affirmative action programmes.
Radio Legend says this follows the completion of an investigation into the affirmative action programme by the Fiji Human Rights commission.
The Commission director, Dr Shaista Shameem, has confirmed that their investigation is complete and they are now awaiting a response from the government on their findings.
Dr Shameem says the government is entitled to comment on the report but it has failed to meet the March 25th deadline for its response.
She says events have overtaken the government which has now become a caretaker administration but that is not a reason for it not to comment.
The Fiji Human Rights Commission investigated the affirmative action programmes after a complaint by the Labour Party that they violated the human rights of some citizens. END
