Nauru win weightlifting gold

Nauru has won gold in the men's weightlifting on day four of the Delhi Commonwealth Games.

Yukio Peter lifted 333kg in the men's 77kg final to finish ahead of Australia's Ben Turner and India's Sudhir Kumar.

It's Nauru's first medal of the games and also the first for the Pacific.

Papua New Guinea's Steven Kari was fourth, while Samoa's Faitoa Togagae was fifth in the women's 63kg final.

In other results Tongan swimmer Amini Fonua is through to the final of the 50 metre breaststroke.

The 19 year old - the first swimmer to represent Tonga at the Games - won his heat in a time of 28.9 seconds before improving with a time of 28.73 to finish quakify seventh fastest for the final.

And Niue's lawn bowlers provided yet another upset with the women's triples team beating Australia in their latest group match.

Samoa's, Emanuele Tauolo Fuamatu, finished ninth in the final of the men's shot put.
