Doctors, midwives told to prioritise vaccines for pregnant people

Doctors and midwives are being told to prioritise getting pregnant people vaccinated to protect their newborns from what the country is currently seeing with whooping cough.

Te Whatu Ora is urging more to be done to improve childhood vaccinations - starting from when they are in the womb.

A report released yesterday made 54 recommendations to try to lift the "dire" rate for under-fives.
