There were two deaths after accidents in Waikato and Coromandel yesterday.
One person was found dead in a car that went over a bank at Amodeo Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Colville Road and Waitete Bay Road at around 7.30pm.
Police said road closures at Amodeo Bay will be in place for several hours from 9am today while they conduct inquiries. Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
And a motorcyclist who crashed in Ōtorohanga has died in Waikato Hospital.
Emergency services were called to Kāwhia Rd about 3.45pm.
The motorbike had veered into a ditch and one patient was airlifted from the scene.
