Two arrested over ATM skimming devices

Two Canadian men have been arrested in relation to the attaching of skimming devices to ATMs in Christchurch.

The devices can be used to record customers' card details.

The men, aged 28 and 39, will appear in court on Monday charged with accessing a computer for a dishonest purpose.

Detective Sergeant Joanne Parks said anyone noticing anything unusual about an ATM should report it to the relevant bank immediately.
