The Government has released details showing how extra money for non-urgent surgery will be spent nationwide.
District health boards are to get an extra $10 million to provide more elective surgery over the next five months.
The Canterbury DHB will receive more than $1 million for orthopaedic operations for 185 people.
Three Auckland DHBs will get a combined total of more than $2 million for various procedures, while DHBs in Wellington, Hutt and Wairarapa will get $1.25 million in total.
Hawke's Bay receives $1 million, while the Tairawhiti, Bay of Plenty, West Coast, Southern and Nelson-Marlborough DHBs get at least $500,000 each.
South Canterbury and Waikato receive amounts of more than $400,000, with Taranaki, Northland, Whanganui, Lakes and MidCentral between $230,000 and $300,000 each.
The amounts are based on population, capacity for more operations and demand.
