The body of a woman has been found by police at a Tauranga property and is believed to be linked to the double homicide investigation in Omanawa.
Two men were found dead at a property in Omanawa on Tuesday, following reports of gunshots at a home.
Police say those deaths appear to be unrelated to gang conflict, although they are aware the incidents involved gang members.
A man has been charged with the murders and appeared in court this morning.
Police officers are now at the scene of a sudden death on Lynwood Place, which they believe is linked to the incident.
They say they were called to the home yesterday and found a woman dead, and that she may have been dead for a couple of days.
Police added that it's believed her death was a domestic incident.
No one else is being sought in relation to the sudden death at this stage.
Meanwhile, Tauranga's mayor Tenby Powell says residents are worried by a recent spate of gang violence in the city.
"We have more 70-plus-year-old residents in Tauranga than any other city in New Zealand by an order of magnitude. They are worried, of course."
He said a public meeting for residents will be held on Thursday.
