Shearer David Fagan of King Country helped the New Zealand shearing team win the final Test against Wales at the weekend.

The New Zealand duo of Rowland Smith and Tony Coster lost the first three Tests against Wales during their UK tour.

But Fagan, 51, who was brought in to replace Coster, who withdrew because of injury, produced the fastest times in the final contest, while Rowland Smith posted the highest points for quality.

Fagan also won the open final at the Corwen Shears.

The result gave New Zealand equal honours from the eight Tests in the tour, with a loss to Scotland and wins over England and Ulster.
