Australia's stand-in cricket captain Shane Watson says he's excited by the challenge of leading a touring party.
After winning the tri-series finals over Sri Lanka on Thursday night in Adelaide, the Australian team has flown out to the Caribbean without regular captain Michael Clarke, who will miss the next month of cricket because of a hamstring injury.
Watson has led Australia three times for three wins in Clarke's injury-forced absences, and he says he thrives on being in the thick of the action.
Australia start their Caribbean tour Saturday week with the first of five limited overs matches, and Michael Clarke hopes to join them in time for the first test, starting on the 7th of April.
