Police are investigating an aggravated robbery in Waitara, where an older couple were attacked in the dairy they own.
They said it happened at about 8pm last night, when three offenders turned up, one carrying a knife.
Detective Sergeant Debbie Gower said the men assaulted the couple, knocking them to the ground.
She said they were taken to hospital, and were extremely traumatised.
Ms Gower said the police were asking members of the public if they hadany information about what happened.
She said it appeared that very few items, if any, were taken.
