Trains in Auckland have started moving again after being suspended on three of the city's four lines.
A fault on a train at Otahuhu at 8.16am shut down the Southern, Eastern and Onehunga lines - to the frustration of travellers.
Rail shuttles were put on between Onehunga and Penrose and on the Eastern line between Otahuhu & Orakei and The Strand.
Auckland Transport said it had to reset the Southern and Eastern lines and services were in a "catch up" phase.
The agency was expecting all services to return to normal by 11am.
The train that broke down has been recovered.
