Police are working to identify the body of a man found in the Waikato River.
Water skiers found the body south of the Horotiu bridge shortly after 9am on Sunday.
Police say they are confident it is not Trevor Smith, 70. But they say it may be the body of another man who went missing around the same time, and they hope to confirm that during a post mortem on Monday.
Meanwhile, the man's death is being treated as unexplained.
