Fog has delayed or cancelled flights in and out of Wellington on Friday night.
One plane was forced to return to Auckland as it was unable to land.
A Wellington Airport spokesperson said about 10 planes are delayed on Friday night.
She advised passengers travelling to and from the capital to check with their airlines or the airport's website for information.
