The Bulldogs rugby league club have sacked forward Reni Maitua after he missed a team training session on Monday.
The NRL club says his contract has been terminated for repeated breaches of discipline.
Maitua has 48 hours to appeal against his sacking.
The Bulldogs have offered to give Maitua some counselling to try and sort out his future.
