There'll be an all-Swiss clash for a place at the final of the US tennis Open after Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka both booked their semi-final spots.

Second seed and five-time champ Federer eased past France's Richard Gasquet in straight sets, after fifth seed Wawrinka did likewise to South Africa's Kevin Anderson.
Federer demolished Gasquet 6-3 6-3 6-1 to continue his clean sheet in New York - the 34-year-old's the only player left at Flushing Meadows who hasn't dropped a set, in either the men's or women's tournament.

Federer seemed intent on beating the rain forecast to hit the area and he safely stormed into the last four
Federer and Gasquet both featured throwback one-handed backhands, but apart from that elegant stroke there were very few similarities.
Federer could hardly miss and Gasquet all too often played the role of innocent bystander in the 87-minute mauling.
The Swiss maestro uncorked 50 winners to a mere eight from Gasquet.
Wawrinka, also a one-handed backhand exponent, had an easy time of it too, seeing off the big-hitting Anderson 6-4 6-4 6-0.
Pushed off Arthur Ashe Stadium court to Louis Armstrong Stadium because of unsettled weather approaching, Wawrinka did his part to wrap up the action quickly, brushing past the overwhelmed 15th seed in just one hour, 47 minutes.
Anderson lacked the energy he displayed in his fourth-round upset of third seed Andy Murray, allowing the Swiss to dictate play for large stretches of the match.
The South African, who relies heavily on his serve, managed just nine aces and one break chance the entire match, which he could not convert.

Federer leads the career head-to-head over Wawrinka 16-3, though the younger Swiss won their last encounter en route to his French Open victory.
The other semi-final sees ninth-seeded defending champion Marin Cilic of Croatia up against world No.1 Novak Djokovic of Serbia.
