The votes are in - Twitter users want Elon Musk to step down as chief executive.
On Monday afternoon, the platform's controversial owner created a Twitter poll asking whether he should "step down as head of Twitter".
More than 17 million votes were cast, with 57.5 percent voting yes and 42.5 percent voting no.
Musk's chaotic leadership of Twitter has been marked by mass layoffs, the suspension of journalists who cover him and whiplash policy changes on the platform.
