Through the last part of 2015 and for several months into this year large swathes of Papua New Guinea were in the grip of severe drought.

One of the several NGOs involved in the response was OXFAM.

New Zealand based Clive Phillips was OXFAM's drought response co-ordinator and has spent much of the past ten months in the PNG Highlands, the Sepik and the islands helping ensure lives began to return to normal.

He told Don Wiseman just how bad the drought was.
