The man accused of killing a mother-of-two almost three years ago has pleaded guilty to her murder.
Zane Paora Wallace appeared in High Court at Whanganui before Justice Andru Isac on Monday.
Wallace was charged with the murder of Jasmine Tamara Wilson, 30, in 2019.
As the trial was set to get under way Wallace pleaded guilty to Wilson's murder.
The 30-year-old was left critically injured and unconscious at Whanganui Hospital's Emergency Department on 31 July 2019.
She had suffered serious head injuries and was later transferred to Wellington Hospital, where she died on 2 August 2019.
The public gallery was full of friends and family of Wilson in the front row and Wallace's supporters were in the back row.
Wallace was remanded in custody to reappear for sentencing on 16 September.
More to come...
