American Samoa's Governor Lolo Moliga says he agrees that the territory has a drug problem.
But he does not share the Samoa Prime Minister's view that American Samoa is the source of drugs and illegal weapons found in Samoa.
Samoa's Tuilaepa Sailele made the claim on local radio last week, saying it was one of the reasons why his government closed Fagalii Airport as it was an entry point for drugs and contraband items.

Tuilaepa said the methamphetamine trade was well established in American Samoa.
The governor acknowledges his territory's drug problem but said it's not at the magnitude of the drugs being reported from Samoa.
Lolo said smuggling of contraband is moving at every border.
He hinted that authorities in Samoa should look at Asian visitors allegedly smuggling prohibited drugs into their country.
Governor Lolo said if the prime minister has proof to back up his public statements then those protecting Samoa's borders should have to answer.
