The number of new cars registered in New Zealand rose 10.5% in October in a second consecutive month of gains.
The New Zealand Transport Agency says 7336 new cars were registered last month, a third more than a year ago.
Used car registrations also rose 10.4% from September and 9.6% from the same month last year.
Overall, car registrations were 21.5% higher compared with October last year.
The number of new commercial vehicle registrations slipped 1.1%, but they were up 27.2% from a year ago.
