The MP in a Niue village constituency who was forced face a by election after the High Court found he had been sworn in contrary to the constitution is back in the legislative assembly.
Businessman Dion Taufitu was originally sworn in during a secret ceremony in Auckland where he was receiving medical treatment.
But last week he won back his seat in the village of Toi and was sworn in at the last assembly meeting in Niue.
The swearing-in ceremony in Auckland was challenged by MP Togia Sioneholo, who is a lawyer and former secretary to Justice.
