The police have arrested and charged two women with the murder of a Gisborne man who went missing late last year.
Amandeep Singh told his flatmates he was going to the Rhythm and Vines music festival on December 29, but never came home.
His body was found near Kaiti Beach nearly a month later.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Scott says two Gisborne women, aged 24 and 25, appeared in court on Wednesday.
They have been remanded in custody until a bail hearing on Friday.
