Firefighters have been transported to a fire at an isolated bach on Nelson's Boulder Bank by the Coastguard.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said it was first alerted to the fire on Boulder Bank Track just after 11.30 am.
There is no road access to the site and by the time they had been transported across the Nelson Haven by the Coastguard the empty bach was totally engulfed and unable to be saved.
The crew are damping down hotspots.
