One of Samoa's new opposition MPs says the first-time MPs will bring new ideas and strong debate to parliament.
Almost half the members at Parliament's first sitting in 3 weeks will be new to the house.
New Tautua MP, and economist, Afualo Dr. Wood Salele says he is happy with the party's 13 seats.
"A lot of us are new MPs and we are really driving for new thinking, new vision and new debate. And new faces for Samoa's political landscape. And I think what we are now seeing is that people are now voting for candidates rather than parties."
Afualo Dr. Wood Salele says the party will need to put up a strong debate on government policies.
