An osteopath has been found guilty of indecent assault and unlawful sexual connection.
Richard James Davis was convicted at the High Court in Wellington on Friday for offences against clients.
The Osteopath Council said his practising certificate was suspended after police in Gisborne laid the charges in April last year.
Registrar Andrew Charnocksaid this is the first case of its kind involving a member in the sector.
Mr Charnock said the council is to appoint a committee which could bring a charge before the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.
