Seven people are injured after a crash on State Highway 1 between Foxton and Levin.
The two vehicles collided just after midday.
One person was air lifted to Palmerston North Hospital with serious injuries.
The others have sustained minor to moderate injuries.
Diversions are in place but motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
