The newly formed Tautua Samoa party has chosen a select committee in its first members' meeting.
Twelve independent MPs have formed the new grouping that will be in the centre of the political spectrum.
The committee will consist of a number of lawyers.
However, the members are yet to decide if they will register the party and its members without naming the parliamentarians, or if they will register it as a company.
The MPs could lose their seats in parliament if they registered themselves as Tautua Samoa members.
A decision is expected within the next two weeks.
