Covid-19: ECE centres fear Omicron staff shortages

Early childhood centres are worried they will run out of teachers as omicron spreads.

They say there is already a teacher shortage and many services will not be able to find enough relievers to stay open if the virus strikes their staff.

Education Ministry figures show at least 168 ECE services are managing cases among staff or children, 119 of them in Auckland.
