A police Glock pistol stolen from Gore in August has been recovered.
A Southland man is believed to have stolen two pistols after ramming a police car, stealing a patrol vehicle and ramming another police car on 14 August.
The 24-year-old man was found after more than 36 hours on the run.
Southern District Commander Superintendent Paul Basham said the first of the stolen Glocks was recovered soon after incident.
He said the second firearm would be forensically examined as part of an ongoing investigation.
