The first regional training for small-scale tuna canning entrepreneurs is taking place in the Marshall Islands this week.

The Parties to the Nauru Agreement is hosting the workshop to encourage and certify people to enter the canning business in order to make better use of resources and provide greater food security.

PNA CEO Ludwig Kumoru told Koro Vaka'uta the main purpose is to add value to the region's fishery.
