Police searching properties mainly in the Whangarei District have come up with a haul of Class A drugs, stolen property and illegal firearms.

The four-day operation involved 150 police staff from Auckland and Northland including the Armed Offenders Squad.

The teams searched properties in the Wheki Valley, Hukerenui, Helena Bay, Raumanga and Puwera .

They found $60,000 worth of stolen property, and drugs including heroin, cannabis and methamphetamine.

They also recovered two Tasers, a Magnum pistol, a shotgun and two semi-automatic rufles now classed as illegal.

The three women and six men arrested in the raids will appear in the Whangarei and Manukau courts over the next fortnight.
