Hewitt wins silver in triathlon world series

Canterbury triathlete Andrea Hewitt has claimed second place overall in the world championship series, after finishing fourth at the grand final in Chicago.

Defending champion Gwen Jorgensen won the race to claim the overall title with the American impressively going through the entire season undefeated.

It's the fifth time in seven years Hewitt has finished on world triathlon's end-of-season podium.

Another American, Sarah True, was third overall.
