Senior Cabinet Minister and New Zealand First MP Shane Jones has been taken to hospital after falling ill at Parliament.
A Wellington Free Ambulance spokesperson confirmed a patient had been taken to hospital from Parliament in a "moderate condition".
New Zealand First leader Winston Peters told reporters Jones has had a very busy schedule coupled with a lot of travel.
"The fact is he's worked here nearly every day for the last month and was at a tangi last night all the way up in Foxton and came back again, so I think it might be a case of exhaution,'' he said.
Peters says Jones felt light-headed shortly before Question Time but he understood he was fine.
