Tautua Samoa party accepts leadership challenge before 2011 election

14:42 pm on 6 December 2010

The Tautua Samoa party has taken the challenge from the ruling HRPP party leader and Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, to choose their leader before March 2011 general election.

Tuila'epa has recently described the Tautua Samoa party a headless monster because one of its candidate has revealed a leader will be chosen from the winning candidates of next year's election.

The prime minister said no voter or elector would make a genuine decision in any parliamentary election if other competing parties do not have leaders.

One of the Tautua Samoa founding members says a leader will be chosen from the only two current sitting MPs.

They are Vaai Solia Papu MP for Vaisigano number one constituency in Savaii and Palusalue Faapo II of Safata constituency.

The election of a Tautua Samoa party leader is expected tomorrow.
