Police officers searching for a missing man in Central Otago have recovered a body from the Clutha River.

Members of the public saw the body in the river near Teviot yesterday afternoon.
Police said while a post-mortem and formal identification was yet to be completed, they believe it's missing 20-year-old Rian Williamson.
He was last seen in nearby Roxburgh late on 2 February.
