The 22-year-old man accused of killing a man at an Auckland party has had name suppression extended.
He faces a charge of manslaughter and was granted an extension of name suppression today.
Reginald Vinesh Sharma was found in a critical condition in the driveway of a house in Mount Roskill in August last year.
The man's lawyer told the High Court in Auckland last week that prison authorities knew inmates had been trying to find out the name of the accused.
He said his client had gone into voluntary segregation but that was no guarantee of his safety.
The Crown said there was no evidence of any further threats.
