$100,000 of drug seized in Northland

Methamphetamine said to be worth more than $100,000 has been seized in a raid in Northland. Police say it was found along with a manufacturing lab, a pistol and $21,000 in cash.

Two 30-year-old men were arrested in the operation on Tuesday at Hikurangi near Whangarei.

They have been charged with possessing methamphetamine for supply, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Police said the 154g of the drug found is a large amount with a high street value.
