Vodafone is offering a $100 credit to owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones, after battery problems caused some devices to catch fire.
Samsung has permanently stopped making the phones, at least one of which has exploded in New Zealand.
Vodafone said customers would be issued with the credit to compensate them for the stress and inconvenience of having to replace or return their device.
People who had already returned their phone would be credited immediately, Vodafone said.
Anyone with a Note 7 is being advised to immediately turn off their phone, remove the SD and SIM cards and return the device to the seller.
