One person has died following a workplace incident in Christchurch.
Emergency services were called to an industrial site in Harewood at 9.15am on Friday.
Media are reporting the death happened at Smith Crane and Construction on Johns Road in Harewood.
Police said it was making inquiries on behalf of the coroner.
WorkSafe has also opened an investigation and its staff are heading to the site to begin gathering evidence.
