The Black Caps have kept the T20 series against England alive with a 74 run victory in game three at Edgbaston.

England lead the four match series 2-1.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat first New Zealand made 202 for five with opener Finn Allen scoring 83, while Glenn Phillips made 69.

Kyle Jamieson and Ish Sodhi then picked up three wickets each as England was bowled out for 128 in the 19th over.

Captain Jos Buttler scored 48, while the only other contribution was from Moeen Ali who made 26.

Jamieson finished with figure of three for 23 and Sodhi three for 33.

New Zealand captain Tim Southee was happy in his post match interview.

"Much better in all three areas, in a style we expect to see from NZ.

"Finn's innings allowed people to bat around him and GP's (Glenn Phillips) innings on a wicket like that showed his class.

"First few overs were crucial and allowed the spinners to come through the middle.

England won the first game by seven wickets and the second by 95 runs.

Game four is at Nottingham on Wednesday morning.
