The US president has relayed his appreciation to the people of American Samoa for their continued support and commitment to the United States.
America's assistant secretary for insular and international affairs, Douglas Domenech, is in the US territory for its Flag Day where he delivered the message from President Donald Trump in his keynote address.
Mr Domenech also praised the territory's contributions to the US Armed forces and highlighted American Samoa's patriotism and commitment to the American Family.
He also extended the heart-felt good wishes of President Donald Trump.
"For a successful and wonderful celebration as we all honour and reflect upon what the American flag stands for, upon the republic for which it stands for, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all."
American Samoans are US nationals without the same rights as citizens.
Mr Domenech is on his first official visit to American Samoa since being appointed to oversee the affairs of US territories, last year.
This year's Flag Day has marked the 118th anniversary of American Samoa becoming a US territory.
