Woman dies in medical incident at Mangawhai Heads

A woman aged 30 has died at Mangawhai Heads this afternoon.

Police were alerted at 4.30pm to medical incident involving one person on the beach near Mangawhai Heads Road in Kaipara.

Attempts were made to revive the woman by St John Ambulance, but she died at the scene.

Police are making enquiries on behalf of the coroner, who will release the findings at a later date.
