After dropping his new album Blank Face just last week, Schoolboy Q has announced that he will be making his return to New Zealand later this year.

The LA-based artist, who toured throughout the country twice in 2014, will make it quick this time: he’s down to play a one-off show at the Logan Campbell Centre on Thursday 3 November.

As he recently told Rolling Stone, Q decided to take a step back from some of his commitments so he could spend more time with his daughter. “I decided to put a studio in the house,” he said. “That way I don't have to leave. I cut back on a lot of press, cut back on a lot of shows.”

Now we just have to wait and see if he’ll have another close encounter with John Key.

Tickets for the gig are available from Tuesday 19 July at midday, while there’ll also be a Spark presale running from Thursday 14 July and a Live Nation presale from Monday 18 July.
