A diesel spill this morning has closed part of State Highway 16 at Whenuapai, in west Auckland.
Police said there had been two minor crashes on the road as a result of the spill, which occured at about 7.30am.
The area of Kennedys Road and the Coatsville-Riverhead Highway has been closed.
The fire service was now at the scene, cleaning up the spill.
