Northland iwi, Ngatikahu ki Whangaroa, is moving towards settling its Treaty claims.
Leaders are holding a roadshow for their people to learn about the tribe's Agreement in Principal with the Crown - starting at Waitaruke Marae on 6 July.
Hui will also be held in other parts of the country, including Auckland.
Ngatikahu ki Whangaroa Trust says it's feeling positive about the future, despite a kuia - Thelma Day - dying this month.
She was part of the trust and its Treaty claim.
Ngatikahu ki Whangaroa is an iwi of about 2000 people whose land interests are between the Whangaroa and Mangonui Harbours in the Far North.
