An Australian security worker has been arrested and charged with sexual assault on Papua New Guinea's Manus Island.
The Post Courier reports the employee of security contractor Paladin is being held in police custody and will appear in court on Monday.
He is accused of inappropriately grabbing a 31-year-old co-worker.
The provincial police commander, David Yapu, says Paladin management took no action when she reported the assault.
It's understood the man was sacked by the Australia-run detention centre's former contractor, G4S, in 2014 for mistreating asylum seekers.
